Dr. Darrin F. Hansen earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed a residency in General Surgery at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dr. Hansen is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Medical Association, the Utah Medical Association and the Salt Lake Medical Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (F.A.C.S.), and a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (A.S.M.B.S.). He has served as the Chairman of the Department of Surgery at Alta View Hospital. Dr. Hansen is married and has four children.
O.Layton Alldredge, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Layton Alldredge received his medical training at the University of Utah College of Medicine where he was elected to membership in the medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. His surgery residency was at the University of Utah Affiliated Hospitals. Dr. Alldredge opened his surgical practice in Sandy, Utah in 1982. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons, and the Southwest Surgical Congress. He has served in numerous medical leadership positions including Chairman of the Departments of Surgery at Alta View and Cottonwood Hospitals, Medical Staff President at Alta View Hospital, and as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Urban Central Region of Intermountain Health Care. He has also served numerous times as a delegate to the Utah Medical Association representing both Alta View Hospital and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Alldredge is a native of Salt Lake City. He is married and has three children and one grandson.

Vivienne Sullivan, RN
Program Coordinator
Vivienne grew up in Southern California. She graduated from Brigham Young University in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked in the newborn nursery at LDS Hospital for a few months and then she was a stay-at-home Mom for many years. In 1987 she re-entered the field of nursing and worked at Alta View Hospital for many years. She has been the camp nurse for many sessions of diabetic camp and girls camp. She and her husband have seven children and twenty-three grandchildren.
Colleen Ferrin RN
Colleen graduated from Weber State University in 1986 with her degree in nursing. She worked at LDS Hospital in the float pool for a year, then on the Medical Unit for two more years where she worked as a charge nurse. She then moved to the University of Utah Hospital and worked in the high risk Labor and Delivery Unit for seventeen years. She was a CPR instructor, charge nurse, a labor coach, and was certified in Neonatal Resuscitation. Colleen is married and she and her husband have eight wonderful children. (She also has eleven chickens and hopes to get a cow.) In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hiking, crocheting, reading, biking and of course, spending time with her husband and children.
Deborah Smith
Exercise and Fitness Specialist
Deborah graduated in May of 2006 from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science with an emphasis in Fitness Leadership. She has worked in the health field for the past nine years. She is NSCA-CPT (National Strength and Conditioning Association-Certified Personal Trainer) and BodyGym certified. She is an avid runner and has completed eight marathons and has a list of marathons she will complete. In her spare time Deborah enjoys reading, baking, traveling and spending time with her husband and family.
Jimae Kenney, Registered Dietitian
Nutritionist
Jimae graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management and Dietetics. She completed a Dietetic Internship at LDS Hospital. Since then she has worked in both acute and long term care as a manager of the Food and Nutrition Services. She currently works for Intermountain Health Care where she manage the Food Services at both Alta View Hospital and The Orthopedic Specialty Hospital. Jimae is a "foodie" at heart and has had to learn to balance her life long interest with a healthy life style. Jimae went back to school in 1990 and earned a Master's in Organizational Management. Jimae had the Lap-Band surgery in December of 2005 and has been very happy with the weight loss results the "tool" has assisted her in achieving. Jimae enjoys reading, sewing and traveling with her family.
MayreAnn Frantz
Mental Health Therapist
MayreAnn is very familiar with the weight loss battle and received her Lap-Band in April 2006. She graduated from the University of Utah in 1995 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She works part-time at North Star Academy, a charter school in Bluffdale and spends most of the remainder of her time caring for her husband and three children. When she does have free time, she enjoys reading, music, tennis and spending time with family and friends.
